Some of you may have noticed that the comment section which would usually be located under articles has disappeared. After serious deliberation the admins of Destinypedia have decided that the article comments are becoming overly encumbered with nonsensical and inflammatory language which is difficult to monitor and screen out, as well as reducing the credibility of articles.
Instead of allowing the comment sections of articles become an unruly battleground of flame wars akin to YouTube, we have decided to act and remove the comments in their entirety. We understand that this will come as a disappointment to our users who used Destinypedia as a platform to discuss this upcoming franchise, however due to the nature of this wiki, articles have to be reserved for encyclopaedic referencing before speculative discussion.
Fortunately, this does not have to be the end of Destiny discussions on this wiki. These forums offer a great social platform for discussing Destiny and it's upcoming franchise with better monitoring and away from the eyes of those who wish to read our articles for the information they contain. So please feel free to start a discussion on the Destiny Forum, which offers the same communication as article comments just in a more confined space!
An additional reminder to all users that article talk pages, found under the "Talk:" namespace is not a platform for discussing the article subject as with other social platforms, such as the forums or article comments, but is a platform for raising questions about the article content or suggesting changes to the article itself. Talk pages should only be used for important article matters and not for conversations, as outlined by the talk page policy.
Remember that you can keep having the same conversations as before, and in a MUCH better format than the comments sections of articles! Please check out the Destiny Forum (which is where this thread is also located, coincidentally) and feel free to participate there! :-)

I will miss the comments section, but I am starting to like the talk pages.
The forums are essentially all of the article comments just put into one place so you can keep track of what everyone is saying with real-time notifications. As the forums are also out of the way, it's less likely to be used by trolls so you can talk about Destiny without any worries of someone ruining your thread :)
