Thorn is an exotic hand cannon. It can be acquired by completing the exotic bounty, A Light in the Dark.

Thorn is one of the Weapons of Sorrow, weapons that have been constructed using the Hive's forbidden power.^[1] It was augmented by Dredgen Yor after he delved into the dark mysticism of the Hive.^[2]

UpgradesEdit

• Accurized Ballistics: More range and impact. Increased recoil.
  • Field Choke: More range and impact. increased recoil.
  • Aggressive Ballistics: More predictable recoil. Enhanced Impact. Shorter range and more recoil.
• Final Round: The last round in magazine deals bonus damage.
• Upgrade Damage: Increase Attack Power, allowing this weapon to cause more damage.
• Snap Shot: Aiming this weapon is incredibly fast.
  • Send It: Increase Range and Accuracy.
  • Perfect Balance: This weapon has extremely low recoil.
• Mark of the Devourer: Rounds pierce targets and cause lingering damage over time.
• Upgrade Damage: Increase Attack Power, allowing this weapon to cause more damage.
• Upgrade Damage: Increase Attack Power, allowing this weapon to cause more damage.

TriviaEdit

• Cabal Phalanxes can be injured by the Mark of the Devourer damage over time effect even if the dart hits the shield.
• Shields do not regenerate while the Mark of the Devourer is in effect.
• Mark of Devourer lasts for 5 ticks after the most current shot, so the effect does not stack.
• Thorn received a buff that increased the magazine size from 6 to 9, increased the reload speed and stability, and increased the Mark of the Devourer's effects on PvE enemies.^[3]
