Story Mission

A Story Mission is a game mode Destiny. Story missions progress the plot and unlock in-game content, such as new activities and the ability to summon a Sparrow. They can be played on multiple difficulties and with mission modifiers in order to earn better rewards upon completion. Story missions are designed to be able to be played alone, but support up to three players.

Daily Heroic Story Mission

The Daily Heroic Story Mission is a story mission played at at least level 20 and with at least two mission modifiers including the Heroic modifier. Players can choose a harder difficulty for better rewards, but completing the mission on any difficulty will prevent the player from getting the mission rewards from any other difficulty for the rest of the day. The mission changes every day.

Trivia

• Information prior to the alpha and beta indicated Destiny's campaign was comprised of at least three chapters: Rusted Lands, First Light, and Shores of Time. These chapter names were later changed to be Crucible maps.
