Phobos is one of Mars' two moons.
History
At some point, the Cabal somehow managed to alter its orbit.[1]
Sometime after Skolas' capture by Guardians, the Vanguard intercepted a Cabal distress signal from Phobos. Guardians were sent to investigate.[2]
