... does not indicate that Yor changed his name as a result of being involved with the Hive's mysticism. It doesn't specify under what circumstances he acquired that name.

I consulted with other admins, and they agreed that the term "Rose" in that context is more likely a metaphor. The Grimoire does not make it clear that Thorn's name before the augmentations was Rose.
As stated in our Citation Policy, "All assertions, no matter how small, should contain references to citations." This means that inferences and (most forms of) inductive reasoning are not appropriate. If you can find a source that states beyond a doubt that Yor changed his name as a result of exploring the Hive's power, then we can add that back with that source cited.
I know you just want to help out, and I appreciate that, but we can't allow information on the wiki unless we are absolutely certain it is true. Our mission is to be "the world's most comprehensive, informative, accurate, reliable, and credible encyclopedic database about Bungie's video game and entertainment franchise Destiny," and the existence of unconfirmed and disputable information on the wiki undermines that objective.
