Dismantling this weapon is one of the ways to obtain a Khvostov 7G Schematic in order to start the quest We Found a Rifle.

Trivia

• Khvostov 7G-02 makes two cameo appearances in Destiny 2.
  • The first is in a room where the player gets the basic version of Origin Story and The Last Dance from Shaxx. It can be found in the lower left rack, next to the left most rack of auto rifles.
  • The second is in the European Dead Zone, leaning on one of the rocks in Sojourner's Camp.
• The Shadowkeep expansion re-introduces Khvostov 7G-02 as an obtainable weapon. It can be obtained one of two ways:
  • In the New Light introductory mission for new characters, where Khvostov 7G-02 is the character's first weapon.
  • It can also be obtained in the quest for Riskrunner by destroying the Fallen walker.
