Armsday is a weekly event handled by the gunsmith, Banshee-44, occurring every Wednesday at 2 AM PDT.[1] Each Armsday, Banshee-44 posts a new set of test weapons, lists a new set of legendary weapon orders, and delivers weapons to Guardians who have existing orders.

Test Weapons[]

Each Armsday, Banshee-44 will offer five random test weapons. Each test weapon has a particular requirement, such as making kills in the Crucible, using the weapon on specific enemy races or types, or making double kills, listed in the weapon's description. Completing the requirement yields +250 Gunsmith reputation, after which the test weapon can be dismantled safely.

Test weapons have a Guardian level requirement of 38, an attack rating of 200, and cannot be placed in the Vault or transferred between Guardians.

Optimal Testing Locations and Instructions[]

  • Double kills: A double kill is two kills of any enemies in quick succession. Any location with a high enemy density will do, such as Old Russia on Earth.
  • Vex targets: Venus, The Citadel.
  • Vex Minotaurs: Venus, The Citadel. Two majors spawn at the back of the area towards The Juncture, and several more below that platform to the right near the Conflux.

Legendary Weapon Orders[]

Orders[]

Each Armsday, Banshee-44 lists a random selection of five orders for legendary weapons. The number of simultaneous orders a Guardian can have placed is dependent on their Gunsmith reputation rank: one order at rank 1, two orders at rank 2, and the maximum of three orders at rank 3. Placing an order costs 2500 Glimmer and occupies one inventory slot. The orders may be redeemed at a subsequent Armsday.

Orders are only available until Sunday at 2 AM PDT.

Delivery[]

On Armsday, Guardians who have orders placed from preceding Armsdays will be able to redeem them. Guardians are given choices between a number of randomized perk rolls depending on their Gunsmith reputation rank: one choice at rank 1, two choices at rank 2, and the maximum of three choices at rank three. Choosing one will result in the delivery of that weapon at an attack rating of 280.

Orders have no expiration date, so the Gunsmith will continue to offer new sets of randomized perk rolls every week until they are redeemed.
